The latest update from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), shows that an additional 565 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in 13 states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
The top three states are Lagos with 205 cases, followed by Rivers with 73 and Ondo recording 63 cases.
Others are: FCT (53), Oyo (53), Ekiti (37), Delta (24), Edo (20), Benue (12), Bayelsa (6), Kwara (6), Osun (6), Ogun (5), and Adamawa (2).
According to the agency, the reported figures include a backlog of 12 cases from Benue state, reported between August 17 and August 19.
In addition, the agency said 363 persons were discharged on Monday after recovering from COVID-19.
Meanwhile, 8 persons died of the infection raising the country’s fatality toll to 2,276.
