Nigeria on Monday recorded 213 new positive infections raising the country’s infection tally to 171,324.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, the new infections were reported from 12 states. Lagos led the infection chart with 157 cases, followed by Rivers and Plateau with 20 and 12 cases respectively.
Others are Gombe (3), Bauchi (2) Imo (2), Kaduna (2), Edo (1), Ekiti (1), and Ogun (1).
The NCDC also disclosed that two covid 19 related deaths were reported, bringing the total number of fatalities to 2,134.
Meanwhile, Nine persons were discharged on Monday after recovering from the infection.
