Nigeria records 404 covid-19 infections, highest in four months : TV360 Nigeria


Nigeria on Tuesday recorded 404 fresh cases of COVID-19, raising the country’s infection tally to 171,728.

This makes it the biggest daily increase in the country since March 4 when 708 cases were confirmed.

According to the latest update by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on the 27th July 2021, the new cases were recorded in 11 states.

Lagos led the chart with 356 cases, followed by Rivers states (18), FCT (7) and Ekiti (5) cases respectively.

Others include Kaduna (5), Gombe (3), Kano (3), Edo (2), Ogun (2), Bayelsa (1), Plateau (1) and Nasarawa (1).

Also, 39 persons recovered after successful treatment, raising the number of patients that have been discharged so far to 164,837.

The fatality toll also remained at 2,134 as no death was recorded on Tuesday.
