Nigeria has recorded 407 positive samples of Covid-19 infections on Sunday, raising the country’s infection tally to 174,315.
According to an update by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, (NCDC), the new cases were reported from 17 states.
Lagos, the hardest-hit state by the pandemic topped the infection chart with 160 new cases, followed by Akwa Ibom and Ondo with 75 and 51 cases respectively.
Other states include Abia (33), Oyo (29), Kaduna (18), Katsina (7), Gombe (6), Ogun (6), Ekiti (5), Delta (4), FCT (4), Ebonyi (3), Edo (2), Niger (2), Bayelsa (1) and Nasarawa (1).
Meanwhile, zero deaths were reported on Sunday, leaving the fatality toll at 2,149.
The public health agency also disclosed that 11 people were discharged on Sunday after recovering from the infection, this brings the total number of recovered patients in the country to 165,005.
So far, a total of 174,315 coronavirus cases have now been confirmed across the country.
